While off duty, a police officer noticed that the driver of a Peugeot was clearly having trouble controlling the vehicle. In Włodzice Małe, the man was making extremely dangerous maneuvers on the road, which attracted the officer’s attention.
The police officer seized the right moment, stopped the driver and prevented him from continuing. During the apprehension, a strong smell of alcohol was noticeable coming from the driver. The duty officer at the Lwówek Śląski police headquarters was immediately informed of the entire incident.
When the patrol that had been called arrived and tested the man for alcohol, it turned out that the 37-year-old from Bolesławiec County had over 3‰ of alcohol in his exhaled air.
The man will face charges for his senseless behavior and will answer before the court.
Thanks to the police officer’s appropriate and quick reaction, another irresponsible driver did not cause a tragedy on the road.
