A few days ago, officers from the District Police Headquarters in Lubań detained a 25-year-old resident of Lubań County. “The aggressor threatened his neighbors with murder using an axe and a knife,” reports asp. szt. Justyna Bujakiewicz-Rodzeń, press officer for the Lubań police.
The officers who arrived at the scene found the suspect holding an axe. The spokesperson said:
The 25-year-old swung it and threatened to kill the police officers. The threats appeared real, particularly as the man’s behavior did not change after he was repeatedly ordered to put the object down.
An additional police patrol was dispatched to the scene. The man was detained and then, at the request of the police and prosecutor’s office, temporarily remanded in custody by the court for three months.
The aggressor now faces up to three years in prison.
