Close operational cooperation between criminal investigators from Lubin and officers of the Lower Silesian Police Headquarters in Wrocław who deal daily with combating football hooligan crime led to the seizure of a significant quantity of drugs. “Police officers arrested a 29-year-old resident of Lubin who was transporting cocaine in his car. The man was arrested while driving a Honda passenger car in the Rudna municipality,” reports asp. szt. Sylwia Serafin, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Lubin.
It was in this car that criminal investigators found a packet containing a white powder, which turned out to be cocaine. Spokeswoman:
From the quantity of the psychotropic substance found, the suspect could have prepared nearly one thousand retail doses of the drug.
But that was not all. Officers also found a machete and pepper spray in the detainee’s vehicle. They determined that the suspect is one of the leaders of a football hooligan group.
The 29-year-old was arrested and then placed in pre-trial detention for three months. He faces a prison sentence of at least two years. Further proceedings in the case are being conducted under the supervision of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Lubin.
