The incident occurred several days ago in a locality in the rural Złotoryja municipality. – The police officers intervened following a report from the injured woman. According to her account, the man had been abusing her for a long time. He used both physical and psychological violence – says Staff Sergeant Dominika Kwakszys, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Złotoryja.
She adds:
During the officers’ intervention, the man failed to comply with their orders. He attacked one of them, hitting her in the head and pulling her hair.
The aggressor was arrested, and the officer was taken to hospital.
After sobering up, the attacker was charged. The court subsequently remanded him in custody for three months. The 44-year-old now faces a sentence of between three months and as many as five years in prison.
