Officers from the Police Station in Nowogrodziec, as a result of operational activities, identified a suspect in the theft of a bicycle and fishing rods from an outbuilding. “The man detained in this case is a resident of Zgorzelec County who had previously been convicted of crimes against property,” explains warrant officer Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters.
It turned out that the same perpetrator had committed three other offenses in the Nowogrodziec municipality. In total, the repeat offender stole property worth PLN 6,500. His haul included fishing equipment and power tools, among other things. (The items had been left by their owners in unlocked vehicles and outbuildings).
The 40-year-old from Zgorzelec County now faces up to seven and a half years in prison.
