Zgorzelec criminal investigators received information that stolen cars might be located in one of the trucks parked in that county.

– As part of the actions undertaken, officers detained the 33-year-old driver of the truck and trailer. It turned out that he was transporting two cars, a Land Rover and a Seat, in the cargo area. Both had been stolen in the United Kingdom – explains asp. szt. Monika Kaleta of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław.

She adds:

The vehicles, with a combined value of nearly half a million zlotys, were secured at a police car park for further procedural activities. The prosecutor placed the detainee under police supervision.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the case. As a reminder, in Poland, theft is punishable by between three months and five years in prison. Burglary can result in a prison sentence of up to ten years.
