The incident took place on the night of October 19–20 in the village of Warta Bolesławiecka. The 29-year-old driver of a Volkswagen, a resident of Bolesławiec County, lost control of the vehicle on a bend, left the road and ended up in a ditch.
The driver was injured and taken to hospital. What is more, he now faces a sentence of between three months and as many as five years in prison because he violated a court-imposed driving ban.
