As reported by the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra:
Over the past weekend, Jelenia Góra police officers arrested four drivers who were operating vehicles while intoxicated, one of whom additionally violated a court-ordered driving ban. Tests measuring the alcohol content in their systems showed between 1 and nearly 1.8 per mille.
Among this disreputable group was a 34-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County, who was arrested on October 16 on Wrocławska Street in Jelenia Góra. It turned out that the man from our area, who was driving a Volkswagen, was intoxicated; the test showed more than one per mille of alcohol in his system.

We remind you that operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated or under the influence of a narcotic substance is a criminal offense. This offense is punishable by a fine, restriction of liberty, or imprisonment for up to 2 years. A driver who violates a driving ban may face up to 3 years in prison.
