The Days of Bolesławiec begin on Friday, September 24. This year’s celebration will last four days. Friday will feature “A Mellow Farewell to Summer.” Kaśka Sochacka will perform Kaśka Sochacka with her band. Kaśka is a petite blonde with a strong backbone and a low, hoarse voice. She comes from Pradła. Like most girls born in the 1990s, she has been singing since childhood. Her first single was the song “Wiśnia,” which premiered on Piotr Stelmach’s program on Trójka radio and topped the “Program Three Hit List.”

After the mellow Friday, we will move on to somewhat different moods. Saturday will combine spiritual and culinary experiences. At 3 p.m., the “EUROPEAN PICNIC: Polish-Czech Culinary Encounters” project will begin. In addition to traditional cuisine, a convoy of food trucks will await food lovers. Performances by groups from Poland and the Czech Republic will complete the event. The evening’s star will be LIMBOSKI, whom you may associate with the music video for “Na statku,” in which Janusz Chabior himself played the lead role. His low, hypnotizing voice will transport the Bolesławiec audience into a state of spiritual elation.

Sunday will belong to the settlers of Bolesławiec, whose history permeates Bolesławiec and its surrounding area. Folk groups from the region will perform on stage. “Polimusic Bolesławiec 2021” is the first multicultural showcase of music from outside Poland by residents of Bolesławiec and the surrounding area. Lemko sounds will also be featured. The Song and Dance Ensemble “Kyczera” will perform before the Bolesławiec audience. Settlers’ Day will conclude with a performance by an artist who could be described as dynamite. MR ŻARKO and his band will get the audience singing and dancing!

To conclude the Days of Bolesławiec celebrations on Monday, we invite you to the popular-science conference “Traditions on the Move. Polish Re-emigrants in Lower Silesia,” which will be held at the Cultural Integration Centre at 17 Chopina Street.

We hope you will be there, trusting that during the city’s four-day celebration everyone will find something for themselves!
