At the Old Theatre, a concert will be held featuring Mirosław Kuc, who is celebrating 50 years of artistic work.

At this special concert, he will be joined by friends with whom he has worked over the years, not only as a guitarist but also as an arranger and composer. The performers will include Wojtek Szajwaj, Aleksandra Sozanska-Kut, Bogusław Kłak, Andrzej Malcher (Obstawa Prezydenta), and Dariusz Uściński.

The program will feature standards from the borderlands of jazz, blues and bossa nova, as well as compositions by the distinguished jubilarian.

Mirosław Kuc made his debut in 1976 on the stage of the Bolesławiec amphitheatre in the former Waryński Park. His serious musical career began with the Wrocław-based band Funk Factory, and for many years Mirek worked as a session musician, collaborating with numerous acclaimed musicians.

He took part in jazz festivals in Poland, including Jazz Jamboree, Jazz nad Odrą and Jazz Tour. He was also an instructor at the “Blues nad Bobrem” guitar workshops (2011–13).

At the end of the 1980s, he emigrated to Italy, where he successfully continued his musical career.

He worked as a session musician for Italian television and took part in the San Remo Festival together with Orlando Andreucci, with whom he later recorded the album “Fuori Orario”.
