Lwówec criminal investigators detained two residents of Karkonosze County (aged 61 and 47). “At the property, in the outbuildings, as well as in the house occupied by the men, officers discovered 34 kilograms of cut tobacco, nearly 1,400 cigarettes, and 50 litres of alcohol without Polish excise stamps. If placed on the market, these goods would have exposed the State Treasury to a loss of more than PLN 100,000,” reports asp. szt. Monika Kaleta from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław.

She adds:

The police also seized more than 0.5 kg of methamphetamine, as well as three long firearms, a revolver and several dozen rounds of ammunition. Neither man has a permit to possess this type of firearm

In addition, two motorcycles and a passenger Subaru with a combined value of PLN 170,000 were found. All three vehicles had been stolen in Germany and Poland.

Both suspects were placed in police cells, where they are awaiting the formal presentation of charges.
