The incident occurred on Friday, May 14, on Tysiąclecia Avenue in Bolesławiec. Police detained a 35-year-old resident of Bolesławiec who was riding a stolen bicycle worth PLN 1,700.
The perpetrator of the theft was detained. He was drunk; a test showed two per mille of alcohol in his system. The two-wheeler was handed over to its owner.
The 35-year-old now faces a sentence of between three months and as many as five years in prison.
