He was furious that he had to return the car to his ex, so… he set it on fire

The crime was committed on Friday, 16 April. KPP in Lwówek Śląski:

The duty officer at the Lwówek Śląski police station was notified of a car fire on Jaśkiewicza Street in Lwówek Śląski. A patrol was sent to the scene and confirmed the report.

Officers' preliminary findings indicate that the vehicle was doused with gasoline and set on fire. The car's interior and electrical system were partially burned.

The perpetrator fled the scene but was quickly arrested. It became clear why he had set the car on fire. As it turned out, the vehicle belonged to his former partner. After the couple broke up, the 36-year-old Bolesławiec resident had to return it to her.

The vandal admitted his guilt. He now faces up to five years in prison.
