– Police officers who combat vehicle crime on a daily basis recovered a Mercedes Sprinter tow truck and a Ford Mustang stolen in Germany. The officers located the vehicles as part of their operational work and then determined where they might be parked, reports acting senior officer Sylwia Serafin, press officer for the Lubin District Police Headquarters. – The information was confirmed one hundred percent, because several hours later the police recovered the vehicles.

Interestingly, the Mercedes had Polish registration plates belonging to a vehicle that was reported stolen at the end of March. The original plates were hidden behind the driver’s seat.

The vehicles, worth approximately PLN 150,000, were taken to a police parking lot and will be returned to their rightful owners. The circumstances of the case are still being analyzed. Officers are currently working to apprehend people who may be connected with the crime.

Let us recall that the penalty for theft is between three months and five years in prison. The same penalty applies to handling stolen goods. Burglary theft carries a sentence of up to ten years in prison.
