Officers from the Police Station in Nowogrodziec detained a man suspected of attempting to take the life of a family member. When the officers arrived at the scene, they first provided first aid to the injured man, whom they handed over to paramedics, and gathered information about the circumstances of the incident. They then arrested the attacker.
Based on the evidence collected, the 57-year-old resident of Nowogrodziec municipality was charged with attempted murder, for which he faces a penalty of life imprisonment.
Based on the evidence collected by officers from Nowogrodziec and following a motion by the Bolesławiec District Prosecutor’s Office, the court decided to apply the preventive measure of temporary detention for three months.

The incident occurred on Saturday, March 6, in one of the houses in the village of Zagajnik. Police confirmed that one brother attacked the other with a sharp instrument.
Both men are 57 years old, and both were intoxicated at the time of the incident. The injured man was taken to hospital.
The aggressor was arrested. The prosecutor’s office and police are investigating the case. At the investigators’ request, the court temporarily detained the attacker for three months.
