There is a further development in the widely publicized and shocking case involving Roksana, who was 14 at the time, from Podlasie. As reported by lwowecki.info:
The prosecutor’s office has already prepared an indictment, accusing the man of using deception by pretending to be her peer and seeking to meet the teenager in order to sexually exploit her. The man does not admit to the act; however, investigators explain that he was unable to rationally explain why he brought the teenager there.
The 38-year-old will also be held responsible for exposing the girl’s health and life to danger. He faces up to three years in prison.
Let us recall. We described the case in detail in September last year. On September 7 this year, at around 8:15 a.m., 14-year-old Roksana from Bielsk Podlaski left home. There had been no contact with her since then. Police determined that instead of going to school, the girl went to the railway station and took a train to Bolesławiec. There, at the railway station, she met an unknown man and disappeared.
Police officers from the County Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec and from the Search and Rescue Group at the County Police Headquarters in Lwówek Śląski, whose indispensable member is a tracking dog, began searching for the teenager.
The intensive search lasted several hours. On September 12, a few minutes after midnight, officers found the girl. The teenager was in the basement of the ruins of a farm near Chmielno, not far from Lwówek Śląski. The 14-year-old was safe and well and, after a medical consultation, was transported to the unit.
At that time, a man whom police officers were seeking in connection with the teenager’s disappearance was also detained: a 37-year-old resident of Lwówek County.
On Sunday, September 13, the prosecutor’s office in Bielsk Podlaski brought two charges against the 37-year-old: actions intended to sexually exploit a minor, as well as exposing her health and even her life to danger. Investigators requested pretrial detention.

As prosecutor Naumczuk said, the suspect admits contacting the 14-year-old and corresponding with her through a fictitious online profile, but denies that the ultimate purpose was to sexually exploit her.
As investigators emphasized, the suspect was unable to explain why he brought the minor there. He stated that he had not endangered her health or life because… he had given her a sleeping bag.

On September 14, the tvn24.pl service reported that the court had detained the 37-year-old. “Above all, the court took into account that the collected evidence indicates a high probability that the alleged act was committed. In addition, there is a risk that the suspect could interfere with the proceedings. In its reasoning, the court indicated that the case is developing and that there is a concern that, if at liberty, the suspect could potentially influence people who have already been questioned in the case or those who will be questioned as witnesses,” a representative of the District Court in Bielsk Podlaski told the outlet. He added that the suspect had assured the court that “his aim was not any wrongdoing toward the victim.”
