February 9 – the cadets will remember this day for a long time. It is an extremely important moment for every soldier. The commander of the Bolesławiec artillerymen, Colonel Marek Wasielewski, ceremonially presented weapons to a delegation of preparatory-service soldiers who began a four-week adventure with the army in the 23rd Artillery Regiment. He emphasized:
In a moment, on behalf of the Republic of Poland, I will present you with weapons that are a symbol of courage and discipline. It is a great honor, but also a responsibility. Take care of them and use them properly, in accordance with the applicable law. May these weapons be a symbol of the highest values: GOD, HONOR, HOMELAND.
23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment:
A weapon is a symbol and attribute of every soldier, and possessing one entails a duty and enormous responsibility. A soldier must know its construction and operating principles, as well as the applicable safety rules related to its use. The soldiers face intensive training, which will conclude with an examination of everyone’s knowledge and military skills. It will culminate in a ceremonial military oath, which will take place on March 6, 2021.
