Police officers were called to intervene at one of the hospitals in Lubin. “According to the report, a young man behaved very aggressively toward the doctor and hospital staff during medical examinations. He was highly agitated. At one point, the suspect began struggling, causing an ECG machine, a table holding ampoules for blood collection, and a portable suction machine to topple over, damaging these items,” reports asp. szt. Sylwia Serafin, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Lubin.
The officers restrained the aggressor, who turned out to be an 18-year-old resident of Polkowice County. He admitted to the police that he had taken drugs that day.
The teenager was taken into police custody. The losses were initially estimated at approximately PLN 700.
The young man from Polkowice has already been charged with damaging property, a crime punishable by three months to as many as five years in prison. The 18-year-old admitted guilt and voluntarily accepted his sentence. He will perform community service and must repair the damage.
