Police officers specializing in combating economic crime received information about the illegal consumption of electricity in two apartments. “Together with employees of the power company, the officers confirmed that electricity was being consumed while completely bypassing the metering system. The illegal electrical installations were eliminated,” reports junior inspector Agnieszka Goguł, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Zgorzelec.
She adds:
The owners of the residential premises were charged with stealing electricity, for which they may face up to 5 years in prison.
