The problems experienced by residents of Trzebień and other nearby localities, caused by the movement of oversized military vehicles on public roads near the camp, will soon come to an end. This often caused difficulties for residents.

Following numerous interventions by residents, Bolesławiec County Head Tomasz Gabrysiak initiated talks with the commands of the Polish and American armed forces in order to resolve the problem. The talks resulted in a decision to build military-purpose roads.

The preparation of the Functional and Utility Programme commissioned by Bolesławiec County has already been approved by the Minister of Infrastructure. Bolesławiec County is currently awaiting the Programme’s approval by the Ministry of National Defence.

In the first quarter of 2021, after an annex to the agreement with the Ministry of Infrastructure is signed, a tender procedure will be announced to select the Contract Engineer. Work will begin after the Minister of Infrastructure’s comments on the preliminary concept for constructing defence roads (class G roads) and bridges over the Bóbr River have been taken into account. The project is extremely difficult because it is located in flood-prone areas. The task will be financed entirely from State budget funds.
