The genXone laboratory near Poznań, which has also been carrying out COVID-19 tests during the pandemic, stated on its Twitter profile that it had “identified the British coronavirus strain [...] in a patient from Małopolskie Voivodeship.”

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the presence of this virus variant has already been recorded in 60 countries and territories. Experts estimate that the British strain is 50–70 percent more contagious than the original version of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. Details at TOK FM.
