Bolesławiec police officers received a report from a man that he intended to commit suicide. “The duty officer immediately sent patrols to the scene. After entering the apartment, whose door was open, they found a 33-year-old man in one of the rooms. Holding a knife in his hands, he suddenly stood up when he saw the uniformed officers and moved toward them, threatening to take their lives,” reports asp. szt. Monika Kaleta of the Regional Police Headquarters in Wrocław.

The attacker was subdued and arrested. It turned out that he was completely drunk. A test showed 2 per mille of alcohol in his system.

The 33-year-old, a resident of Bolesławiec, was remanded in custody for three months. He now faces between one and up to ten years in prison.
