District police officers from the Legnica Municipal Police Headquarters detained a wanted 40-year-old resident of Legnica County. The arrest took place at his place of residence. “The reason for submitting a request to initiate a search was the fact that, despite being legally obliged to do so, the man failed to report when summoned to the police unit,” reports asp. Anna Grześków from the Legnica Municipal Police Headquarters.
She adds:
During the intervention, police officers found a silver package on the detainee containing dried plant material. A search of the rooms he occupied led to the seizure of nearly 130 retail portions of drugs, which had been divided into portions and prepared for sale.
The black-market value of the narcotic substances seized by the police—marijuana and methamphetamine—exceeds PLN 5,000.
The 40-year-old was placed under police supervision. He could now face a prison sentence of between one and as many as ten years.
