We received photographs from a female reader, taken by the Krępnica water reservoir. The photographs show waste scattered around overflowing bins. Bottles and plastic bags predominate among it.
We established that the Krępnica reservoir is no longer used by the Polish Angling Association District in Jelenia Góra.
Two years ago, the Krępnica reservoir was sold by Gmina Bolesławiec to an entrepreneur from Legnica County. Last year, the Polish Angling Association in Jelenia Góra and the new owners failed to reach an agreement on signing a lease.
PZW in Jelenia Góra reported in November 2020:
Following the information provided earlier, the Board of the PZW District in Jelenia Góra informs that the District is not the user of the Krępnica reservoir (Bolesławiec Gmina), and the lease agreement was not signed with the new owners due to unfavorable financial conditions for using the water body.
Consequently, use of the reservoir takes place exclusively under the terms set by the new owner.
