The assault took place on December 29 on Brzozowa Street in Bolesławiec. Police determined that the perpetrator and the victim knew each other. Little is known so far about the motives and circumstances of the assault. It is known, however, that the perpetrator struck the victim with a metal crowbar, causing open fractures to his limbs. The injured 55-year-old died in hospital as a result of his injuries.
Police did not disclose the case until the suspected man was arrested. He does not admit to the charges. According to police, the arrested 34-year-old had previously been known to authorities for thefts and assaults.
