On Saturday morning, 5 December, 103 volunteers from the preparatory service training cycle took the military oath in a ceremony held on the parade ground of the 23rd Artillery Regiment in Bolesławiec. The ceremony itself was modest and, due to the epidemic situation, took place without the participation of the families and loved ones of the soldiers taking the oath.

Acting Commander of the 23rd Artillery Regiment, Lt. Col. Robert Oleś:

Taking the military oath before the colors is a great honor and a symbol of readiness to defend the Homeland and represent the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland with dignity. Taking the military oath entails an obligation to serve Our Homeland faithfully.

On behalf of the soldiers taking the oath, Private Cadet Anna Michniacka-Matecka spoke and thanked the commander and superiors for their dedication and understanding in preparing them to fulfill their civic duty to the homeland:

The day on which we take the military oath is a special day for each of us. Today's ceremony is the culmination of our efforts to date. We are ready to serve Poland and care for its security.

The ceremony provided an opportunity to present commendations to soldiers who achieved the best results in training and discipline. Letters of commendation were awarded to:

  • Private Cadet Weronik Pelczarska
  • Private Cadet Sylwia Fleter
  • Private Cadet Jakub Wawrzynosek
  • Private Cadet Paweł Wilkołek.
