Officers from the Kruszyn Police Station, after receiving a report of a passenger car theft, began taking steps to determine where the missing property was located. The officers’ efforts resulted in the recovery of a passenger vehicle worth PLN 15,000. The woman who stole it, using her knowledge of where the owner kept the keys, left the car to lie low. The perpetrator hoped that after a few days the matter would die down and that she could then calmly look for a buyer for the property she had obtained through the crime.
The suspect’s plan failed because the police first located and secured the stolen car and then arrested a 25-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County.
The woman will face charges for stealing the vehicle and the documents found inside it. She faces up to 5 years in prison. The recovered car was returned to its owner
