The tragedy occurred at the beginning of May this year. Gazeta.pl reports on it. 17-year-old Bartek from Sulików in Lower Silesia died two days after he began feeling worse and fell into a coma. The paramedics suspected that the teenager might be infected with coronavirus. They took him to a hospital in Zgorzelec, which did not admit him. The paramedics therefore cared for the boy in the hospital parking lot.

Later, the teenager was taken to Bolesławiec, where he was diagnosed not with coronavirus, but with an intracranial abscess. However, the doctors there were unable to help the boy. He was transported to Legnica. He reached the operating room 10 hours after the report was made. He died two days after the procedure.

The Patient Ombudsman believes that no patient rights were violated.
