The incident took place on Friday, October 2, after 8:00 a.m., on the road between Wierzbowa and Gromadka. According to volunteer firefighters from OSP Wierzbowa, the car veered off the road:
One injured person with head injuries was taken to hospital.
The car was driven by a 33-year-old resident of Lubań County. As it turned out, he was completely drunk; he had 2 promille of alcohol in his system. He now faces up to two years in prison.
The operation involved firefighters from JRG Bolesławiec and OSP Wierzbowa, as well as a police patrol and a medical rescue team.
