The third fire at the former brickworks in Nowogrodziec occurred this morning. The firefighters from Nowogrodziec reported:
14 September 2020, after a difficult night, at 7:23 a.m. we received a report of ANOTHER fire! on the premises of the former brickworks in Nowogrodziec.
At the scene, a passenger car was found burning, parked in one of the vacant buildings. The fire was extinguished using one water stream.
Let us recall that the first two incidents occurred during the night of 13–14 September. Volunteer firefighters from Nowogrodziec reported:
At 2:47 a.m., we were dispatched to a fire on the premises of the former brickworks in Nowogrodziec. Upon arriving at the scene, we found a fire in former utility buildings. We used two water streams in the attack and requested additional forces and equipment. After bringing the flames under control, we began demolition work.
They added:
During the intervention, we encountered a truly unusual situation: 100 meters from the scene, someone set fire to a pile of tires. That fire was extinguished by firefighters from OSP Zebrzydowa, using one water stream in the attack. Police officers who arrived at the scene are carrying out explanatory proceedings.
Fortunately, no one was injured. Firefighters from Nowogrodziec, Czerna, Zebrzydowa and Bolesławiec, as well as the police, took part in the nighttime operation, which lasted more than two hours.
