Ikea announced its decision on its Facebook profile:

Ikea informs customers that those who do not cover their mouths and noses will not be served

Customers of the Tesco chain may also be refused service if they do not have their noses and mouths covered, reports TVN24.pl

Employees of the Biedronka chain were also informed about the obligation for customers to cover their mouths and noses. As we read on the website:

The Regulation of the Council of Ministers of 7 August this year on establishing certain restrictions, orders and bans in connection with the occurrence of an epidemic extended the obligation to cover the mouth and nose in commercial or service establishments, commercial or service facilities and marketplaces. The obligation may be fulfilled by using clothing or part of it, a mask, a face shield or a protective helmet.

In recent weeks, however, shops have observed increasingly frequent disregard for the regulations. Therefore, the Ministry of Health decided that exemptions from the obligation to cover the nose and mouth would apply only in strictly defined cases. As a result, the regulations removed a fairly broad exception which—under the regulation of 19 June—provided an exemption for a person “who cannot cover their mouth or nose due to their health condition.”

Under the 7 August regulation, the obligation does not apply, among other cases, to a child under 4 years of age or a person who cannot cover their mouth or nose due to, for example, pervasive developmental disorders, mental disorders or intellectual disability. The regulations will remain in force until revoked.
