On Friday, 14 August, a police operation called Speeding was carried out on the roads of our county. KPP:

The main aim of the operation was to reduce the risk of various road incidents by enforcing compliance with the applicable speed regulations among drivers. On that day, officers from the Bolesławiec SPEED group were also working effectively.

The officers checked nearly 40 drivers who failed to comply with speed limits and other traffic regulations. Four road pirates lost their driving licences for exceeding the permitted speed by more than 50 km/h in a built-up area.

But that was not all. In the Nowogrodziec municipality, the SPEED group caught a Mitsubishi driver whose odometer had been rolled back. He could now face a sentence of between three months and as much as five years in prison.

Police:

Actions of this kind will be repeated frequently, as speeding is one of the main causes of road accidents.
