Weddings are considered to be among the sources of coronavirus infections. Therefore, the government is considering how to encourage people attending such events to comply with epidemiological guidelines (number of attendees, distancing...). In an interview with RMF.FM, Deputy Health Minister Waldemar Kraska stated:

We have spoken with GIS about increasing inspections at weddings. If we are no longer able to persuade people gently, a penalty must be imposed, because sometimes the only memory of this beautiful event—sometimes a once-in-a-lifetime event—is that half the family became infected with coronavirus.

According to the deputy minister, sanitary inspectors have the right to inspect both the preparations and the weddings themselves. Police officers could also assist them with the inspections.
