The incident occurred on Sunday, July 26, after 1:00 p.m., in Raciborowice (Warta Bolesławiecka municipality). The scooter rider, a 52-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County, lost control of the vehicle, left the road and ended up in a ditch.
It turned out that the man was drunk; he had more than 1.5 per mille of alcohol in his system.
He now faces a sentence of up to two years in prison.
