Officers from the Department for Combating Drug-Related Crime, working with police officers from the Jelenia Góra and Zgorzelec police headquarters, struck at the designer-drug business.

Senior Superintendent Kamil Rynkiewicz from the Press Team of the Wrocław Provincial Police Headquarters:

While conducting operational activities, police officers identified locations where designer drugs might be stored. During operations carried out in Jelenia Góra and Zgorzelec counties, officers searched a vehicle used by a 44-year-old man and his home. They found more than 15,000 sachets and over 3,000 vials containing various substances and bearing inscriptions, 670 vials containing dried plant material, more than 1,400 e-cigarettes and e-cigarette cartridges, most likely containing psychoactive substances, as well as several thousand capsules packed in foil bags.

The preliminary estimated street value of the seized substances was over PLN 2.5 million.

Spokesperson:

The man detained in this case was charged with manufacturing new psychoactive substances, participating in the trafficking of a significant quantity of them, and possessing numerous products that constitute a base for producing new psychoactive substances.

The 44-year-old was placed in temporary custody for three months. Police officers are currently clarifying all the circumstances of the case, including where the designer drugs came from and what the man intended to do with them.
