Bolesławiec criminal investigators arrested a 51-year-old resident of Lwówek County. “Based on the information gathered, police officers determined that substances whose possession is prohibited by law could be located in a building in a town bordering Bolesławiec County. As soon as the officers entered the house, they detected a smell characteristic of marijuana,” reports asp. szt. Monika Kaleta from the Voivodeship Police Headquarters in Wrocław.
She adds:
As a result of searching the living quarters occupied by the 51-year-old man, police officers found narcotic substances stored in various containers. The marijuana was kept in cardboard boxes and plastic and glass containers.
The arrested 51-year-old admitted that he had drugs at home, but said he was unable to indicate exactly where because they were distributed throughout the building.
In addition, the officers found two tents equipped for growing plants on the property. Asp. szt. M. Kaleta said: “One contained small cannabis seedlings, while the other tent was not in use. In total, almost 2 kg of marijuana and 13 cannabis seedlings were secured.”
The 51-year-old could now face at least three years behind bars.
