At the request of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Bolesławiec, the court remanded a 20-year-old resident of Bolesławiec in temporary custody for three months. He has three offences to his name:

  • robbery using a knife at a drugstore (four bottles of perfume worth PLN 1,000)
  • robbery at a grocery store, immediately after which he was arrested
  • theft of a bicycle worth PLN 1,100.

The man committed all these offences between 23 and 25 June. The suspect now faces between one and as many as ten years behind bars.

(The recovered bicycle was returned to its owner.)

As a reminder, the widely reported robbery took place on Thursday, 25 June, at around 11:00 a.m., in a shop on Mickiewicza Street in Bolesławiec. We reported it at the time as follows:

A 20-year-old man who stole alcohol stabbed a woman with a knife. (She was not a shop employee.) Fortunately, she did not suffer any more serious injuries.

The perpetrator was arrested by Bolesławiec criminal investigators. Interestingly, he fled from the police on… a bicycle that had been stolen from outside one of the supermarkets during the previous 24 hours.
