Officers from the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters, while conducting a nighttime patrol of the town, caught two perpetrators of burglary red-handed. “The men broke into the premises of a business and attempted to steal 7 kg of copper cables,” says asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters.
They did not succeed, however, and were arrested.
The suspects are residents of Bolesławiec County, aged 34 and 36; both were charged with burglary.

In addition, police proved that the 34-year-old had committed four other property-related offences during the previous three weeks. The man will be held responsible for stealing lottery scratch cards worth more than PLN 500, as well as batteries and rims. He was also charged in connection with two burglaries and the theft of garden furniture and electrical cables.
The officers recovered some of the stolen property. The suspects could face between one and as many as ten years in prison.
