The incident took place in one of the apartments in Karpacz. “During a visit to an acquaintance, the woman demanded money from him for alcohol, and when he refused, she beat him with the back of an axe,” says deputy inspector Edyta Bagrowska, press officer for the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra. “The suspect did not stop there, however, as she also threatened the victim with a knife and threatened to take his life.”
The police were alerted by a neighbor who heard screams and the sounds of an altercation. Officers who arrived at the scene arrested the woman with a knife in her hand.
The 34-year-old was first taken to police custody, and the court then remanded her in custody for three months. The aggressor could now face a sentence of between three and 15 years in prison.
