The incident took place on the night of 17–18 June in Iwiny. The 34-year-old resident of Gmina Warta Bolesławiecka broke into one of the shops in Iwiny and stole 10 bottles of whisky.

It was quite an upgrade, because the previous week the man had taken 15 bottles from the same shop, only this time... vodka. And he was arrested then as well.

Two days after that first arrest (and after the police procedures carried out with him), the 34-year-old appeared again—and completely sober—outside the same shop. This time, as an act of “revenge,” he damaged the shop’s window with a paving stone.

The result? The man was once again caught by the officers. As he claimed, the second time he did not intend to steal anything.

A few days passed, and there was another break-in. The incorrigible 34-year-old still faces a sentence of between one and ten years in prison.
