Police officers from the Economic Crime Division of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra, together with officers from the Lower Silesian Customs and Tax Office in Wałbrzych, seized 3 illegal gaming machines in one of the rented premises in Piechowice, used to organize and conduct gambling games. “Their value is PLN 6,000,” reports Superintendent Edyta Bagrowska, press officer for the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra. “The value of the shortfall resulting from unpaid tax was estimated at PLN 300,000 to the detriment of the State Treasury.”
Officers are currently investigating all the circumstances of the case in detail. The spokesperson adds:
The owner of the premises and the owner of the machines face a fine of PLN 100,000 for each machine seized, as well as up to 3 years in prison.
