On Monday, 15 June, officers from the Bolesławiec traffic police, operating as part of the provincial SPEED group, stopped two drivers who had exceeded the speed limit in a built-up area by more than 50 km/h. A 28-year-old woman from Lubań County exceeded it by 70 km/h, while a 66-year-old man from Bolesławiec County was speeding through a built-up area at 102 km/h.

Officers:

Drivers who disregard road traffic regulations must reckon with the consequences of speeding, including the possibility of losing their driving licence for three months.

We remind you that driving at high speed always poses a threat both to people travelling in the speeding vehicle and to other road users. Speed is, after all, a key factor affecting the risk of road accidents; it also has a decisive impact on the type and extent of injuries suffered by participants in road incidents.
