– Over the past week, the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters received reports concerning break-ins at garden sheds and garage premises in the city – says staff sergeant Marta Kubiak of the Bolesławiec police. The burglar stole whatever he could. His loot included, among other things, gardening and fishing equipment, power tools, and even small items.
Staff Sgt. M. Kubiak:
Actions taken by the officers led to the identification and arrest of the perpetrator – a 23-year-old resident of Bolesławiec. The man gave extensive explanations, and investigators charged him with a total of 5 offenses against property.
The man had previously come into conflict with the law; he had been detained for various offenses, including burglary. Some of the stolen property was recovered, and the items will be returned to their owners.
The 23-year-old resident of Bolesławiec could now face a prison sentence of between one and as many as ten years.
