According to data from the Ministry of Health, during Saturday and Sunday alone (June 6–7), as many as 1151 new coronavirus infections were confirmed in Poland (including 676 in Silesia), and 20 people died.
While the epidemic has clearly slowed in Lower Silesia (with a decrease in the number of new infections), new outbreaks have appeared in other regions of the country. The situation is worst in Silesia, where most infections are confirmed in local mines and among miners’ families.
The number of people infected with the coronavirus in Poland has reached 26 561 cases. The number of people who have died: 1 157. The number of people who have recovered: 12 855.
