Officers from the Legnica traffic police dealt with an unusual incident. “The duty officer at the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica received information that a large wild boar had eaten children’s pierogi on Oświęcimska Street in Legnica and was now growling at them,” says junior warrant officer Jagoda Ekiert, press officer for the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica. “The officers immediately went to the scene, where they found the perpetrator of the pierogi theft and the injured parties.”
She adds:
The perpetrator would have faced criminal charges for its reprehensible behavior if it had not been… a wild boar. First, the officers ensured the safety of the people who were near the animal, and then drove the boar to a safe place away from people.
Fortunately, the wild boar did not hurt anyone. The spokesperson says: “Nevertheless, let us remember that when encountering a wild boar, we should exercise caution and not approach it.”
