The landfill in Nowogrodziec on Asnyka Street. I know this issue has already been raised many times. But people have had enough. The bins probably haven’t been emptied for about three weeks. No one seems to control it, or the municipality is saving money. We pay a lot for waste collection, and everyone has to accumulate rubbish on their properties because there is nowhere to dispose of it.
Robert Relich, Mayor of Nowogrodziec:
In response to an inquiry concerning the overflowing containers on Asnyka Street in Nowogrodziec, I inform you that they are emptied according to schedule. The above-mentioned location is intended for the separate collection of municipal waste generated exclusively by residents of multi-family buildings. The situation described by [...] occurs as a result of residents of single-family buildings failing to comply with the applicable rules set out in the Regulations for Maintaining Order and Cleanliness in the Nowogrodziec Municipality. Under the aforementioned Regulations, owners of inhabited properties in single-family housing areas carry out the separate collection of municipal waste in appropriately marked bags placed on their own property [podkreślenie – R. Relich], while owners of inhabited properties in multi-family housing areas carry out the separate collection of the aforementioned municipal waste in containers designated for individual waste fractions, placed at separate municipal waste collection points (“clusters”) located in places accessible to these residents.
The Mayor of the Nowogrodziec Municipality adds:
Waste from other fractions, such as clothing, electrical and electronic equipment, furniture and other bulky waste, used tyres, batteries and accumulators, chemicals, renovation, construction and demolition waste, should be taken to the Separate Municipal Waste Collection Point at 24 Strzelecka Street in Nowogrodziec.
So, is there a waste problem in Nowogrodziec or not? We invite you to join the discussion.
