In an email to the editorial office, Łukasz Dudzic wrote:
To uphold tradition, there was another Saturday burglary, at 1:30 a.m. Judging by the way it was carried out, I believe it was the same people as usual. But that is not what is irritating—the actions of Bolesławiec’s “inept” officers are.
First, they grouped the previous burglaries into a single investigation […]. What is this about? It is about statistics. Although they were reported separately, they put everything together because they certainly will not identify the perpetrators and will discontinue the investigation. I am 100% sure of that. […]
Instead of looking for criminals, they are interested in estimates and the remaining damage. They lost the disc containing the burglary footage, which was sent along with the report! How are people like that supposed to find the perpetrators when their own secretariat is a mess?
So as not to make empty claims, I am attaching the discontinuation documents for the car-wash burglaries. Since it was established, there have been 12 burglaries handled by Bolesławiec police, plus three currently being investigated and not yet concluded.
The word “inept” is not accidental. What else can you call an institution funded by taxpayers when the results of its work are 12 discontinued cases out of 12 burglaries? Not a single identified or apprehended criminal.
The police decided not to comment on the matter, citing the interests of the investigations.
It should be added that Łukasz Dudzic is known for investigating police officers’ misconduct. He has often filed reports alleging that they committed offenses. We wrote about this, among other places, in the articles: Fighting Officials’ Offenses and You Must Not Film, Photograph or Record at the Police Headquarters.
