The head of the Prevention Department of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec, while off duty, noticed two men arguing near the station. – The police officer, together with the duty officer at the Bolesławiec unit, took action to establish the circumstances of the altercation – says asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.
She adds: – The quick decision that intervention was necessary resulted in one of the men being detained. It turned out that shortly beforehand, the 24-year-old had stolen a phone from an elderly man; this was the reason for the argument. The property was recovered and returned to its owner.
Moreover, it emerged that the 24-year-old resident of Osiecznica municipality had committed more offenses against the victim, who, incidentally, is a member of his family.

The suspect was charged with additional offenses involving four thefts of a payment card, as well as breaking into a bank account five times and stealing nearly PLN 2,000.
