Bolesławiec traffic police—thanks to reports from other drivers—detained a 58-year-old man who got behind the wheel while drunk.
“Police officers received information from other drivers who suspected that the 58-year-old was under the influence of alcohol. The callers not only passed the information on to the officers, but also followed the suspected driver and, when he stopped, prevented him from driving any further,” says asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer for the County Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.
The resident of Bolesławiec municipality was completely drunk; he had 2.5 promille of alcohol in his exhaled breath.
He could now face up to two years in prison.
