Officers from the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec received masks from Bolesławiec volunteers of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity and from the women involved in the “Bolesławiec Sews for Medics” campaign.
KPP Bolesławiec:
The police officers received reusable masks sewn by people of goodwill who devoted their time and handiwork to protecting the safety of others.
The officers add:
Since April 16, everyone has been required to cover their mouth and nose in public places, so the joint efforts to improve safety have been very positively received, and masks are currently an essential commodity.
Masks do not provide 100% protection against infection with any virus, but they significantly reduce the risk. By using additional protective measures and maintaining hygiene, we care for our own lives and health as well as the safety of those closest to us.
In supermarket car parks, the policewomen handed out masks to seniors, homeless people and everyone who needed to cover their face.
– Residents were happy to take the opportunity to receive a mask and asked us to convey their warm thanks to the volunteers and people of goodwill who, by working with the uniformed officers, took care of the safety of others – emphasizes asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.
